holiday bucket list

Well, I guess it’s that time again – time for another bucket list. This one’s my holiday bucket list, and I can’t wait to share all of the fun things that I want to do…and I hope this inspires you to add a few things to yours!

But, before we start adding things to my list, let’s discuss how I did on the previous one. You can look at my fall bucket list here.

The first thing on the fall list was Halloween Horror Nights. And yes, I went…over and over and over again! And it was so fun and, coming from a woman that used to be afraid of haunted houses, this is a big deal. The one thing I’d ask Universal Orlando to change? Add the liquor stands back. No one likes those themed sugary drinks.

The second one was to drink a hot chocolate at Foxtail Coffee Co. and I, didn’t get to that. I did, however, get the new Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate at Starbucks (which is, location-wise, far easier for me to get to). It was good, but I still want to head over to Foxtail for that hot chocolate this holiday season.

I didn’t end up nomming on s’mores either, but I did find a delicious edible cookie dough recipe (I shared this in a newsletter earlier) and Adam and I have shared it more than once.

And, instead of making a designer purchase, I ended up choosing to subscribe to Rent the Runway, which you can read all about here. As far as pulling inspo from NYFW…I tried. Not sure if any of those outfits made it to the blog right now…but I know all those fashion lovers out there can tell me!

Oh, and I did plan out my next state (South Carolina), which you can read all about here. I’m hoping to visit Charleston this January and can’t wait to check South Carolina off my list!

Even though I didn’t get to check all of the things of my fall bucket list, I had a great fall! I did lots of fun activities, obtained a lot of great memories, and am super prepared for the holiday season! So, let’s talk about the things I’d like to do over the next few weeks!

Visit the Lights at Hogwarts

Ever since I found out that Hogwarts would light up this holiday season, I knew I had to see it. While I’m there, I’m definitely getting my hands on their hot Butterbeer, which is kind of how I imagined it being anyway. Nonetheless, I’m sure this show is going to be beautiful and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Take Part in the Athleisure Trend

The colder that it gets, the more comfortable I want to feel. I haven’t ever wanted to take part in this trend and, even though I like some of the individual pieces, I haven’t purchased anything. But when I’m visiting the theme parks or rushing through the crowds as I search for the perfect gifts, I want to be cute and comfortable. So athleisure, here I come!

Binge on Christmas Movies

I love watching Christmas movies – a few favorites include the old Rudolph and Frosty movies, Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Prancer, and much more. One of the things that I’d like to do is to hang out in PJs all day, play my favorite movies back to back, and nom on some festive snacks (probably cinnamon rolls and other delicious small bites).

Make Homemade Apple Cider

Since this is our first Christmas as husband and wife, I hope to begin some new traditions. I’m not a huge fan of Egg Nog, but I do like apple cider…so I think I’d like to make some homemade apple cider, so we can start our own traditions.

We’ve already purchased and decorated our Christmas tree. We ended up choosing these beautiful glass ornaments from Restoration Hardware and they were the most “us” purchase ever. These handblown glass ornaments are the perfect mix of romantic and edgy.

 Get that Hot Chocolate

I contemplated not adding the hot chocolate from Foxtail to this list, but I just couldn’t help it. I’m super excited about their hot chocolate and really want to get one. Even though it didn’t work out last time, I hope it’ll work out this time. Heck, even if I have to go and sip on one alone, I’ll get it – I promise!

So tell me…what are some things that you hope to do this holiday season?
