fall bucket list

It wouldn’t be the beginning of a new season if bloggers weren’t publishing their bucket lists. And now that fashion week is upon us, I feel like it’s the perfect time to plan mine out.

This year, I’ve decided to focus on fashion and travel to-dos. For now, I’ll focus on local travel. With Irma causing some damage to our condo, and with me missing quite a bit of school due to power outages, Adam and I have more important things to worry about. Planning a trip isn’t one of them.

For those that live in the Orlando area, I’ve got a few spots for you to check out, as well as some ideas of things to do or get there.

Halloween Horror Nights

It wouldn’t be fall if we didn’t start with Halloween activities. I mean, that is the next big holiday. And there’s no better way to celebrate it than a trip to some spooky haunted houses.

I’m almost proud when I state that Adam and I frequent the haunted houses. We spend almost every Friday at the park, speeding through the lines with our express passes and the souvenir cup in hand.

Each year, they announce one house that I’m less than excited to venture into. This time, it’s Saw. Just thinking about that creepy puppet gives me the shivers.

I had nightmares. I never planned to see the little weirdo in “real life”. But, as usual, Adam makes me face my fears. But that doesn’t mean I won’t be attached to him, my face buried in his back while we head through the rooms (at least, for the first two times).

Hot Chocolate at Foxtail Coffee Co.

Even though it won’t be cold in Orlando until after the holidays (I know…just when I want it to be summer again!) I can’t help but dream of heading to Foxtail for some local hot chocolate.

Foxtail is a great local spot. The industrial and picturesque interior of the Winter Park location (I haven’t been to the Downtown location yet) is perfect for a few Insta-worthy shots. Not to mention their beautiful drinks.

Fall Fiesta at Lake Eola Park

Ah, the Fall Fiesta – a fun-filled event that lasts all weekend, which means that I’ll be stuck in the parking garage (as I don’t have a reserved spot and am paranoid about all of the spots disappearing!) but that doesn’t mean that I can’t join in on the fun!

Lake Eola is a quick walk from our home, and I like meandering through the booths, checking out the local artists and other local entrepreneurs.

S’mores with Good Friends

I thought about looking for a place that does s’mores in Orlando but changed my mind. Why? There’s nothing better than sipping on beer, sitting around a fire, and roasting marshmallows to make s’mores, all while hanging out with good friends.

And I’ve already got those friends in mind. Shoutout to Tonja and Dane!

Make one Designer Purchase

Yep, I’m setting goals that I’m dreaming of reaching. Whether it’s a (finally) good pair of sunnies or a new, designer purse, I’ve got my sights set on one designer piece.

As you know, I’ve got a thing for Dior. I also love Chanel, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, Jonathan Simkhai, Milly and quite a few more.

Whatever it is, I can’t wait! And you’d better believe I’ll be searching all season long (until I find that one, perfect piece, that is).

Pull Inspiration from NYFW

Just like this planned purchase of something designer, I hope to pull some inspiration from some of the NYFW trends. I feel like my sense of style is a mix of boho chic and feminine, and I can’t wait to test out some of the trends we saw.

I’m still going through all of the info I’ve gathered from the bloggers that were in attendance but will settle on a few trends that caught my eye.

One thing that I prob. won’t do? Sport the almost-all-red thing. For some reason, it’s a color I don’t wear very often, if at all.

Plan the Next State to Visit

The last thing that I’ll do? Plan the next 50 states trip.

My younger sister, Kiana, graduates from nursing school later this fall – congrats!! – and she and I need to take a weekend sister-trip somewhere.

A few places I know Adam doesn’t want to visit? Charleston and Savannah.

I think one of those locales will be perfect to celebrate her graduation and future “big girl” job.

What are a few things you plan to do this fall? Pumpkins? Pumpkin Spice? Pumpkin EVERYTHING? Let me know. Comment below!
